Imposition draft#2 (first post-Misha draft)
Five gifts are born as she speaks
In the wooden cafeteria: green apple,
Laughing baby, baldspot, dessert, and
All the eyelids. The last is a bundle of momentums
That will fumble from our hugging them
As we march back home in the chill, but they catch
In the bushes that have fallen into wreaths.
In hardy threes and fours, we pass them again
On a different walk, in a different set of moods,
But this does not disturb what is lodged in there
with the last greens and various debris. No, it's not trash
but an imposition on this flock of branches,
as if they grew themselves to harbor my whining and the damage
I jettison with my eyes when walking is enough of a challenge,
as if I could not allow them to just to grow.

BACK:
Amanda's family has a new Beagle puppy. A bitch, and a lovely one.
Internet and network connections are back...in my room!.
Carlo Teehop changed Halloween to last night for the School, since boarders go home on Friday night for the weekend (and for the iller things they can't get away with here).
The campus seems hornier than in past years, but almost in an acceptable and understandable manner.
Classes are amazing, due to an influx of amazing students. Some of my freshman this year are already better writers than most of the seniors from last year.
I'm going to the Village tonight with Amanda to join in the 30th Halloween parade and have some times. As usual, I have no costume, although I'm thinking of dressing in all black and claiming Johnny Cash or "a poet."
Coach and I won two games this soccer season, two more than last year. Maybe our last coaching foray together.
Only two and a half weeks remain in the Fall Term. There are glints of a future that don't blind me.
New poems forthcoming.
