have we got contact?

There is an uncontrollable well of summer history to unburden on this neglected 'blog and its audience, and I can only try and come to summations of highlights.

Today is a Tuesday, my last free Tuesday of summer vacation. A week from tonight, preliminary meetings will commence, dinners and shuffled conversations will be had, new rules and policies will be codified, and all the new teachers will begin to feel the texture of the ---- School while those of us few who remain from last year will recline in smug familiarity (unfortunately, it will largely be familiarity with certain strains of bullshit).

The varsity soccer players return early this year for preseason. Coach and I are giddy to start whittling the muscles and attitudes of the returning footballers from their summer lethargy into volleying machines.

Some new lesson directions are forming for the incoming seniors, but my ninth grade curriculum needs some revamping and hypo-preparation before classes begin in two weeks.

Yankee game tonight will find me among the rowdy bleacher seaters, then North to Watertown until Saturday to see my family, to see my sister off to her first semester of college, and to pontificate and gush about my homegrounds to someone special with whom I share a Continuing Series of Excellenceâ„¢.

Read up if you haven't already.

Why are you wearing that bunny suit?
Why are you wearing that man suit?
